Hi there!
Tara Hempstead is an award-winning Author-Illustrator creating whimsical worlds of humor and heart.
Equal parts creativity and caffeine, Tara’s natural habitat is working on comics, picture books, articles/newsletter content, and more in the coziest corners of Los Angeles libraries.
Her work has been published in AMDA News, the SCBWI SoCal newsletter, The Wrentit (Pasadena Audubon Society newsletter), Underwater New York and more. She has shown her comics in Zine Fests across California.
When she doesn't have a pen in hand, you will find her birding and traveling, often at the same time.
